WORK SESSION OF THE GOVERNING BODY April 25, 2022

Minutes of the WORK SESSION of the Governing Body for the Village of Cloudcroft, held on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 5:00 p.m., in the Village Council Chambers, 201 Burro
Avenue, Cloudcroft, NM.
Mayor Denney called the meeting to order at 5:00PM with the following Council
members providing a full Quorum: Present/Absent:

  • Trustee/ Mayor William Denney-present Trustee/ Mayor Pro
  • Tern Tieman -present Trustee -Jim Maynard -present
  • Trustee -George Mitchell -present
  • Trustee -Gail McCoy -present

The following Village staff and guests were present: Barbara K. Garcia, Clerk; Jini Turri, Deputy Clerk, Chief Summers, voe PD.

TOPIC OF WORK SESSION -FY22.23 Interim Budget
Governing Body discussed the need for a Police Department Building. A request to the clerk was made to determine the amount of funding that can be accessed from the Money Market Public Fund the village holds. Clerk reviewed the changes made based on the recommendation of the Governing Body at the retreat in March. Changes were advised for road maintenance line item. A request to have the Chamber of Commerce report on Lodgers Tax spending at the Regular Council Meetings was made. No further
recommendations were made.
