Village Council

Our Mission

The Village of Cloudcroft will work daily to build the public trust in our office and community by ensuring fiscal responsibility throughout the course of daily business while striving to accommodate the needs of the public with the funds of the Municipality.

Village employees should strive to continuously improve our quality of service to the citizens of the Village of Cloudcroft, both lawfully and through transparent management. We  will maintain a professional and attentive organization while being neutral and impartial and rendering equal and efficient service.

Building a strong community means building a strong village, developing a sound economy, while providing a safe community and fostering a healthy environment for our citizens and visitors alike. The village will strive to continue to become even better than we are today with every action that we take.

Meet Vincent “Craig” Turner--Mayor of the Village of Cloudcroft, NM. Originally from Sunray Texas, Craig was raised with a “Texas tough” work ethic and a strong love for God, Family and Country. He has been married to his wife, Phyllis, for 34 years. Together they have raised three young men—Austin, Ryan and Harrison, AND have a spoiled Australian Shepherd named Cooper!! A former United States Marine and a college graduate with a B.S degree from McNeese State University, Craig embodies the values of discipline, integrity, and service. Craig’s corporate background includes teaching, coaching and a 27 year pharmaceutical sales career where he gained valuable leadership experience in management, business development, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and marketing. Beyond his corporate achievements, Craig has also been a successful small business owner in Cloudcroft for over 11 years. Craig is honored to have been elected as Mayor and his vision for the Village of Cloudcroft during his tenure is to leave the village in a better place and for residents to enjoy a prosperous and fulfilling future.
