Business Registration

Business owners that do business within the Village limits should hold a business registration with the Village. Business registrations are $35.00 annually and made payable to the Village of Cloudcroft as of January 1 of each year and are valid through the calendar year, expiring on December 31st. Businesses can obtain the registration by downloading the form from the website and returning to the Village Office at PO Box 317, Cloudcroft, NM 88317 with the annual fee and a copy of the valid CRS certificate from NM Taxation and Revenue Department. NM Taxation and Revenue can be reached via website at www.tax.newmexico.gov. A registration certificate will be completed and mailed to the location of request.

Lodger's Tax

The Lodger’s Tax Act of the State of New Mexico provides that the Village of Cloudcroft may impose an occupancy tax for revenues on lodging within the municipal boundaries of the Village. Every vendor providing lodging within the Village of Cloudcroft shall collect the occupancy tax on behalf of the Village. The proceeds from the occupancy tax are used to advertise, publicize, and promote tourist related events and attractions.
