Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of the Governing Body for the Village of Cloudcroft, held on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 4:00 p.m., in the Village Council Chambers, 201 Burro Avenue, Cloudcroft, NM.
Mayor David C. Venable called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. with the following Council members providing a full Quorum: Present/absent:

The Pledge of Allegiance to the US and NM flags was led by Mayor David C. Venable. (Item #2)
APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
Mayor Venable entertained a motion to approve the Agenda for the Special Meeting of April 28, 2020. Trustee Mitchell made such motion, Trustee Voight seconded the motion and upon vote of Trustees Denney, Mitchell, Voight and Tieman all voting “aye” the motion carried unanimously. (Item #3)
NEW BUSINESS:
- Discussion/Action: Approval/Disapproval Resolution 2020.09 – Requesting the Governor to reopen businesses, including non-profits, closed by executive and public health orders
Members of the community listed above as those present were invited to speak for two (2) minutes regarding the concerns that they had for the Village opening or remaining closed during the Public Health Order for Covid-19, and either their recommendations or descent regarding the proposed Resolution 2020.09 to be signed and sent to the Governor of New Mexico.
Mayor David C. Venable entertained a motion to approve Resolution 2020.09. Mayor Pro Tern Bill Denney made a motion to approve Resolution #2020.09 Requesting the Governor to reopen businesses, including non-profits, closed by executive and public health orders , Trustee Voight seconded the motion and with no further discussion a roll call vote was taken;

- Trustee Tieman – Aye The motion carries
- Discussion/Review: FY 20-21 Interim Budget Presentation and Review Village Clerk, Barbara K. Garcia requested of the Governing Body if they had any questions or further input on the funds that had been presented to date. With no further questions on those funds, the following funds were reviewed with the department head, Fire Chief Erich Wuersching and the Governing Body:
- Fire Dept. Fund
- Fire Protection Fund Ambulance Fund EMS Fund
- Intergovernmental Grants Ambulance
After review and discussion the following changes were recommended and accepted by the governing body:
- To remove $100,000 from Ambulance Fund, line item Mnt & Repairs -Bldg/Structure
- To remove $100,000 from Fire Protection Fund, line item Mnt & Repairs-Bldg/Structure
- No new projects
No motions or actions taken. (Item #4)
