NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Body of the Village of Cloudcroft, New Mexico will consider for adoption at its regular meeting on the 14th day of December, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Village Offices on Burro Street, Cloudcroft, New Mexico, an ordinance, the title and general subject matter of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE REORGANIZING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND POLICE DEPARTMENT AND RECREATING THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT BY CREATING A DIVISION OF PUBLIC SAFETY BY THE ENACTMENT OF A NEW CHAPTER 7 OF TITLE 1 OF THE CLOUDCROFT CODE OF ORINANCES PROVIDED THAT ORDINANCE 395 SHALL SUNSET AND IS REPEALED ON DECEMBER 13, 2022 AND PROVIDED FURTHER THAT ORDINANCE 387, ENACTED 3-10-2020, IS REENACTED IN ITS ENTIRETY
The subject matter of Ordinance enacts a new Chapter 7 of Article 1 of the Cloudcroft Code of Ordinances providing for the creation of a Department of Public Safety which would include the Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services Department and Police Department. The Ordinance would sunset on December 13, 2022 by repeal of Ordinance 395 in its entirety and with the reenactment of Ordinance 387, enacted 3-10-2020, in its entirety to reestablish the Fire Department and Police Department as they existed immediately before the effective date of Ordinance 395.
