Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of the Governing Body for the Village of Cloudcroft, held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., in the Village Council Chambers, 201 Burro Avenue, Cloudcroft, NM.
- Call to Order: Mayor William Denney called the meeting to order at 3:08 p.m., with the following Governing Body members present:
Mayor Pro – Tern James Maynard – present
Trustee Gail McCoy – present
Trustee Grover Sterling – present via video call providing a quorum.
Trustee Mitchell – not present
The following staff & guests were present: Shaela Hemphill: Deputy Clerk; Vyanca Vega: Project Coordinator - Pledge of Allegiance: The pledge of allegiance to the United States and New Mexico flags was led by Mayor Denney.

- Topic of Work Session:
Council meeting set for June 13, 2023.
The Governing Body reviewed and discussed the agenda for the regular council meeting of June 13, 2023.Trustee Sterling requested a new version of draft ordinance Amending Section 1-6-2 Providing for the Video Recording of Public Meetings and Distribution of Such Recordings.
Trustee Maynard requested the number of past due water utility customers be put in the monthly report from the Water Utility Clerk
Trustees requested additional information on agenda item “Water Meter & Water Usage – Jerrilyn Russell” including usage and cost details.
Trustees requested Village Ordinance pertaining to code enforcement be provided at June 13, 2023 meeting.
No action was taken at the meeting.
