Minutes of the WORK SESSION of the Governing Body for the Village of Cloudcroft, held on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in the council chambers, 201 Burro Ave, Cloudcroft, NM.
Mayor William Denney called the meeting to order at 9:09 a.m., with the following Governing Body members present: Mayor Pro-Tem James Maynard and Gail McCoy, providing a quorum. Trustee George Mitchell and Trustee Grover Sterling not present.
Staff/Guests present: Shaela Hemphill: Deputy Clerk; Kevin Summers; Chief of Police, and Vyanca Vega; Project Coordinator, Melissa Yates; MVD Clerk, Dora Batista; SNMEDD Executive Dirctor, Debi Lee; SNMEDD, Dr. Patrick; SNMEDD, Paula Merrell; Senior Center, Karen Sonnenfelt; Chamber of Commerce, Debra Spears; Chambers of Commerce, David Abel; Parks & Recreation Committee, Cori Abel; Chamber of Commerce & PTO, Richard Welch, Felipe Portocarrero, Matthew Lockner, James Parker, an employee with the Forest Service, and Jessica Beach; Planning & Zoning.
Pledge of Allegiance: The pledge of allegiance to the United States and New Mexico flags was led by Mayor Denney.

SNMEDD C&ED PILOT PROGRAM
The Governing Body and participants discussed key points in areas that Cloudcroft could improve and benefit from the SNMEDD Pilot Program. Those major points were as follows:
- Parking
- Water
- Activities
- Affordable Housing
No action was taken at the meeting

Mayor Denney adjourned the work session at 12: 06 p.m.
