Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of the Governing Body for the Village of Cloudcroft, held on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., in the Village Council Chambers, 201 Burro Avenue, Cloudcroft, NM.
- Call to Order: Mayor Denney called the meeting to order at 3 :00 p.m., with the following Council members providing a full quorum: Present/ Absent:

Trustee I Mayor Pro-Tern Maynard -present

- Pledge of Allegiance: The pledge of allegiance to the United States and New Mexico flags was led by Mayor Denney.

- Approval of Agenda:
Mayor Denney called for a motion to approve the agenda of the Special Meeting for April 3, 2023. Trustee Maynard made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Trustee Mitchell seconded. Vote as follows: Trustee Maynard, for; Trustee McCoy, Trustee Mitchell, for. Motion carried unanimously. - Approval of Minutes:
Work Session of the GB, March 10, 2023, Regular Meeting of GB, March 14, 202 & Work Session of GB, .March 20, 2023.
Trustee Mitchell made a motion to approve all minutes as presented. Trustee Maynard seconded. Vote as follows: Trustee Maynard, for; Trustee McCoy, for; Trustee Mitchell, for. Motion carried unanimously.
- New Business:
Appointment of Village Trustee
Mayor Denney called for the appointment of Grover Sterling to the vacant seat of Trustee. Grover Sterling will fulfill the term of resigned Trustee Tieman. Trustee Mitchell made a motion to consent to the appointment of Grover Sterling to Trustee. Trustee Maynard seconded the motion. Vote as follows: Trustee Maynard, for; Trustee Mitchell, for; Trustee McCoy, against. Motion carried 2 to 1.
Oath of Office for Village Trustee
The oath of office for Trustee was administered to Grover Sterling by the clerk. - Adjournment: Trustee Mitchell made a motion to adjourn the Special Meeting of April 3, 2023. Trustee Sterling seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 3 :08 p.m.
