Monday, April 17, 2023, at 3:00 p.m.

Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of the Governing Body for the Village of Cloudcroft, held on Monday, April 17, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., in the Village Council Chambers, 20 I Burro A venue, Cloudcroft, NM. 

  1. Call to Order:  Mayor Denney called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m., with the following Council members providing a full quorum: Present/ Absent: 
    Trustee / Mayor William Denney -present
    Trustee / Mayor Pro-Tern Maynard -present
    Trustee -Gail McCoy -present
    Trustee -George Mitchell -present

    The following Village staff and guests were present: Barbara K. Garcia, Clerk; Tabitha Foster, Mark Tatum, Planning & Zoning; Shelley Hughes, SMHA, Lindsey Meeks 

  2. Pledge of Allegiance: The pledge of allegiance to the United States and New Mexico flags was led by Mayor Denney.

  1. Approval of Agenda: 
    Mayor Denney called for a motion to approve the agenda of the Special Meeting for April 17, 2023. Trustee McCoy made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Trustee Mitchell seconded. Vote as follows: Trustee Maynard, for; Trustee McCoy, for Trustee Mitchell, for, Trustee Sterling, for. Motion carried unanimously
     
  2. New Business: 
    Approval of Findings of Facts & Conclusions of Law & Judgements for Zoning Request -CVR#2023.0l, Sacred Heart, 205 James Canyon Hwy.

    Tabitha Foster, Planning & Zoning made the recommendation to approve the variance allowing for a front yard set back of 8′ 7″ for a covered entryway to provide for coverage of snow and rain for ADA compliance.

    Trustee Mitchell made a motion to approve Findings of Facts & Conclusions of Law & Judgements for Zoning Request -CVR#2023.01, Sacred Heart, 205 James Canyon Hwy. Trustee Maynard seconded the motion. Roll call vote as follows:
    Trustee Maynard – Aye
    Trustee Mitchell -Aye
    Trustee McCoy -Aye
    Trustee Sterling – Aye
    Motion carried unanimously.

  3. Adjournment: Trustee Mitchell made a motion to adjourn the Special Meeting of April 17, 2023. Trustee Maynard seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 3:04 p.m.
